Non-Destructive Testing and Structural Health Assessment of Bridge over Indus River

The assessment utilized advanced NDT techniques, including Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity (UPV) and Schmidt Hammer tests, to evaluate the in-situ material properties and identify potential degradation. In addition to mechanical testing, the team carried out structural health monitoring and durability investigations to assess long-term performance and serviceability. This initiative enabled informed maintenance planning and contributed to extending the operational lifespan of the bridge, ensuring safe and efficient transport infrastructure.
